The Shire is a breed of British draft horse native from the north of England. It is also nicknamed "gentle giant" thanks to its docility and its large size. The Shire is the largest horse in the world with an average height at the withers of 1.8 m. Some stallions even approach two meters! It generally weighs between 9 kg and 1,1 kg. Its dress is very often black, bay or gray, with large white marks on the members.
