The puma also called mountain lion belongs to the feline family and lives in North and South America. Its color is uniform and varies from reddish brown in tropical regions to yellow gray in arid regions. He has a posterior higher than his head which allows him to jump easily. The puma is characterized by a long tail, darker at its end, and able to measure up to 81 cm! It is a solitary, carnivorous animal that moves silently to better capture its prey. It competes with the jaguar which prowls on the same ground and which often leaves him prey of average size.
